Pixar steps it up for dying 10 year old fan

With all of the greed & corrupt corporations out there, its awesome to see companies like Pixar giving personal touches to their fans. I wish all companies would show 1/4 of the compassion as this story...

From The story: http://www.ocregister.com/articles/pixar-up-movie-2468059-home-show

At about 12:30 p.m. the Pixar employee came to the Curtins’ home with the DVD.

He had a bag of stuffed animals of characters in the movie and a movie poster. He shared some quirky background details of the movie and the group settled in to watch Up.

Colby couldn't see the screen because the pain kept her eyes closed so her mother gave her a play-by-play of the film.

At the end of the film, the mother asked if her daughter enjoyed the movie and Colby nodded yes, Lisa Curtin said.

The employee left after the movie, taking the DVD with him, Lynch said.

“He couldn’t have been nicer,” said Lynch who watched the movie with the family. “His eyes were just welled up.”

After the movie, Colby’s dad, Michael Curtin, who is divorced from Lisa Curtin, came to visit.

Colby died with her mom and dad nearby at 9:20 p.m.

Among the Up memorabilia the employee gave Colby was an “adventure book” – a scrap book the main character’s wife used to chronicle her journeys.

“I’ll have to fill those adventures in for her,” Lisa Curtin said.

Please Vote... Find out Where Here!

Get out and vote no matter what! I won't sway you either way (like most people seem to be) I have my own opinion, and so do you. See what presidential nominees policies' are the closest related to yours, and make an educated decision (even on the State Representatives and propositions.)

Don't listen to insignificant media propaganda from both parties, on what someone's reverend said or how much someone spends on clothes (both of which have no reflection on their policies). Don't get distracted!

Just make your voice heard and realize the ultimate goal is to make our country a better place in 4 years. Our forefathers bled and died so that you could have the freedom to vote independently on your best choice to lead this country.

Get out and vote!

To Find out where to vote near you, check out a nifty tool by Google to help people find the nearest location to vote: http://maps.google.com/vote

To all of you who are Nine Inch Nails fans...

To all of you who are Nine Inch Nails fans, you should note that Trent Reznor and the rest of NIN today announced they are going to release “The Slip” (their new album, set to release later this year) FREE to the public, even with different type of media options! Trent already made history by offering a host of free remixes to the album “Year Zero”, they even have the ability for you to make your own tracks!

In the wake of this, Trent just made realize how far on the other side of the spectrum he is on then the greedy artists, the ones not doing it progress humanity, make the quality of life in the country they live in better, or to even make content relevant enough to what is really going on in the world – not all the materialistic illusions that seems to consume most of this genre now-a-days.

Trent made news in Australia for saying “Go out and steal my music! The price of CDs is way too high in this country.” The ‘politically correct’ media portrays him as a publicity stunt and as a defiant rebel to the public, when really he is a revolutionist, a visionary, and a complete 180 degree flip from where Dr. Dre and Metallica wanted to take the Internet Music Industry.

Trent even has a personal note for this:

(thank you for your continued and loyal support over the years - this one's on me)

I say, Trent – thanks for being the guiding force to reconcile this industry and give the power back to the people and most importantly, thanks for not doing music just for the money. I only wish you decided to include Phoenix on your new tour so when you got here, we could reimburse you for your free album!
